Ant-Man and The Wasp Sequel In 2018

Ant-Man and The Wasp

Marvel announced a shift in their plans for Phase Three with the announcement of a new movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp, featuring the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang alongside Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne. The movie will open on July 6, 2018, the original release date for Marvel’s Black Panther, which will now open in theaters on February 16, 2018. The announcement comes following the success of this summer’s Ant-Man, which won high praise from critics and fans alike.

Though Ant-Man is awesome news, Captain Marvel is getting bumped to the following year. The Captain Marvel film will shift from November 2, 2018 release date to March 8, 2019.

Marvel’s Phase Three include Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016, Doctor Strange on November 4, 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017, Untitled Spider-Man Film on July 28, 2017, Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017, Avengers: Infinity War Part I on May 4, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War Part II May 3, 2019, and Inhumans on July 12, 2019.

On a side note Marvel also made the announcement of three untitled projects that will hit on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020. At this time it would only be speculation of what they have planned, but I'd assume that these are just 'save the date' spots for sequels.
