Steve R. McQueen Leaving 'Vampire Diaries' for 'Teen Titans'

Bad and maybe good news here. The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec revealed to EW that Steven R. McQueen, Steve McQueen's grandson,  will no longer be a series regular as of episode 14. Though Jeremy has left and died before, he really is leaving this time. Plec adds that the character will exit alive and she shared that there remains a chance for him to pop up in the future when the story dictates it. "He’ll always be welcome to join us for important events — unless [McQueen] finally gets his wish to play a superhero and he’s unavailable."

See that last bit there, yea sort of a wink, wink. Steven R. McQueen has made it no secret that he’s dying to suit up as Nightwing. He has posted  tons of pictures of his favorite crime fighter to Instagram and has spoken out many times of how he would love to play the character. Of course this isn't set in stone just yet, but the odds are really on our side that he will land the role.

TNT will be the home of the live action Teen Titans TV series, but it has not set a premiere date yet.  The project is still in development and the pilot will enter the production stage in 2015.
